2016 Run for the Zoo…and walk with us too!

Be a part of the fun without running the run!

For over 30 years, the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® (GAAR) has been a proud sponsor and coordinator of volunteers for the New Mexico BioPark's annual fundraising event, Run for the Zoo...and walk with us too!

GAAR plans to continue this important tradition in 2016, but we need YOUR help. In addition to cheering on the race participants, a variety of services are needed, such as handing out flyers, providing directions at intersections, keeping the runners safe, etc.

Submit your volunteer form by Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Children, family, friends, and colleagues - everyone is welcome to volunteer! If you have questions about the event, please contact the committee chair, Lorri Zumwalt (lorri@theqrealty.com or 505-400-3699).

Volunteers should be prepared to report to their designated areas on May 1st by 6:00 am and stay until 11:30 am. Starting time may vary by team (check with your team captain for verification).

Flagging

Flagging requires additional training and certification. Please contact Joe Szklarz at 505-269-1819 or joe@theqrealty.com for more information!

Bonus! All volunteers will receive a Run for the Zoo Volunteer T-shirt, which allows you FREE entrance into the Zoo on the day of the event.

Orientation

VOLUNTEERS MUST ATTEND ONE OF THE SCHEDULED RUN FOR THE ZOO ORIENTATIONS

Date: April 26th & April 27th; 10:00 am - 11:00 am and 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm both days (at the GAAR REALTOR® Building, 1635 University Blvd NE)
T-shirts and Race Day information will be distributed at orientation.
