ABC to Z is an ambitious two-year project to update the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan and to integrate and simplify the city’s zoning and subdivision regulations to implement the resulting plan. As REALTORS®, city zoning and subdivision regulation is important to the industry and our clients.
The first draft of updates to the Comprehensive Plan ("Comp Plan") has been up on the project webpage since January 15.
The copies of the draft are now available at all Albuquerque / Bernalillo Libraries and City Community, Multigeneration, and Senior Centers.
We would love to have your comments by February 11, 2016 to consider them for revisions PRIOR to submittal to the City's Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) at the end of March.
Comments received after the deadline will be considered for subsequent revisions throughout the review and approval process. The earlier you get them in, the sooner we can consider them to improve the draft!
The public hearing at EPC will be scheduled for May 5, 2016. Times are still to be announced, but we will aim to provide opportunities for comment during the day as well as during the evening. This is expected to be the first step in the review and approval process, which will include public hearings at each stage. We welcome public comments via letter, email, and in person at each stage.
The Association encourages all members to be aware for the proposed changes and participate in the review process as a advocote for the homeowner.
