From over 20 options, the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation is the best! At least that’s what the respondents to a recent GAAR survey had to say.
When asked which designation they wish GAAR would offer, already have and would recommend to their fellow REALTORS®, CRS was the top response. About 40% of the respondents rated it the top for all three questions.
Next to CRS, 30% of the respondents currently hold an e-PRO certification and 29% hold the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation. Close to a third held no designation or certification.
Of those who have a designation, 43% would recommend the CRS to their associates and 22% would recommend GRI.
When asked which 5 designations or certifications they wish GAAR would offer, respondents once again chose CRS for the top spot and the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) for the second. Rounding out the top 5 are Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Seniors’ Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
