NMREC Core 2018 (4 CE - Education)

This course meets the 2018 NMREC Core Course requirement. This course replaced the NMREC Mandatory Course and needs to be completed annually to maintain your license.
Here’s what you will learn through this new course:
- A review of E&O Claims and how our industry can reduce them
- Score brokers on the Broker duties in an interactive case study where we watch a deal unravel, unfold and play out
- The latest legal updates on a federal, state and local level
- Rule changes from the NMREC

Bankruptcy and Real Estate (4 CE - Education)

Brokers will gain a new perspective on bankruptcy and have confidence to handle clients in bankruptcy situations.
The course will cover:
- How to analyze facts supporting property protection in bankruptcy
- Bankruptcy terms, definitions and vocabulary
- How to apply terms to property and protections
- How to evaluate a potential bankruptcy client

"Yes, Your Honor, I Did Disclose" (4 CE - Education)
Instructor: Rich Cederberg
This four-hour class is designed to provide attendees with historical information about how appellate courts have ruled on cases involving real estate brokers and their appropriate behavior, and how to avoid getting into trouble in the real estate profession.
This class covers:
- Disclosure laws and the creation of common law
- Deflecting the danger of law suits
- Basic legal definitions pertaining to disclosure issues
- Six specific case studies of appellate court rulings
Septics and Wells 101 (2 CE - Education)
Instructor: Rosie Harmon
Broker will be able to provide guidance to buyers and sellers to meet the requirements of the regulations of septic systems and wells. Additionally, the course will cover:
- Basic knowledge of what is required of sellers and buyers to transfer real property
- Septic systems and wells terminology
- Potential problems that arise in a transaction
- Proper use of RANM Forms dealing with Septic Systems and Wells
