Women have long been trailblazers in real estate, overcoming barriers to establish themselves as leaders, advocates, and entrepreneurs.
Women's History Month traces its origins to a single week in 1980, when President Jimmy Carter proclaimed the first National Women's History Week to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8. The movement grew as schools and organizations nationwide embraced the opportunity to highlight women’s often-overlooked contributions to history, culture, and society. By 1987, advocacy efforts led Congress to designate March as Women’s History Month, ensuring a dedicated time each year to recognize the achievements of women past and present. Today, the month serves as a platform to celebrate trailblazers, amplify voices, and inspire future generations to continue breaking barriers across all fields.
