New Required Course Gets An Update

It’s a new era in NAR’s fictional online town of Fairhaven, where real estate pros navigate through real-life scenarios to confront fair housing dilemmas and discover solutions.

During your trip to Fairhaven, you’ll delve into critical fair housing issues, including how to avoid steering when clients ask about neighborhoods and schools; best practices in fair housing marketing; tactics to interrupt implicit bias; and how to stand up for clients when they face discrimination. Throughout the course you’ll receive practical insights to apply to your business.Whether you are a seasoned real estate pro or a newcomer to the industry, Fairhaven will challenge you to stand up and show up for your clients, no matter who they are.

Additional Information
  • This course is the free, online option for NAR members to complete NAR’s Fair Housing Training Requirement. Read more here.
  • Fairhaven is a pass/fail course. In order to be marked as completed for NAR’s fair housing training requirement, you must pass the course.
  • Learners who do not pass will have the opportunity to retake the course. Additional attempts to complete the simulation will overwrite the learner's previous attempt. 
  • Upon successful or unsuccessful completion of the course, you will receive a detailed performance report with summaries of your choices in each scenario, along with best fair housing practices to incorporate into your business.
  • Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate of completion.
  • NAR does not provide CE credit for this course.
