The 2020 Annual Meeting will be held virtually to approve the Minutes from the 2019 Annual Meeting, consider Amendments to the GAAR and SWMLS Bylaws, and install the 2021 GAAR and SWMLS Officers and Directors. Keynote Speaker, Dr. Yun will present live from the National Association of REALTORS®

Article XVI – Amendments Section 1.
These Bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the Members attending in person or by written proxy and qualified to vote at any meeting at which a quorum is present, provided the substance of such proposed amendment or amendments shall be plainly stated in the call for the meeting, except that the Board of Directors may, at any regular or special meeting of the Board of Directors at which a quorum is present, approve amendments to the Bylaws which are mandated by NAR policy. 

Amendment to the Bylaws of the
Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS®


On October 21, 2020, at the regular meeting of the GAAR Board of Directors, the following GAAR Bylaw amendment was approved. This will serve as notice to comply with the 30-day notification requirement as noted in the GAAR Bylaws to facilitate final approval by the general membership at the GAAR Annual Meeting.

The GAAR Bylaw amendments are being proposed and voted on as a whole. A "yes" vote will approve all of the proposed amendments to the GAAR Bylaws. A "no" vote will disapprove all of the proposed amendments to the GAAR Bylaws. The proposed changes and rationale are below.

Amendment to the Bylaws of the
Southwest Multiple Listing Service


On September 23, 2020, at the regular meeting of the SWMLS Board of Directors, the following SWMLS Bylaw amendment was approved. This will serve as notice to comply with the 30-day notification requirement as noted in the SWMLS Bylaws to facilitate final approval by Participants at the GAAR Annual Meeting. Only SWMLS Participants are eligible to vote on the SWMLS Bylaw amendments and will find the VOTING button in the Member Portal.

The SWMLS Bylaw amendments are being proposed and voted on as a whole. A "yes" vote will approve all of the proposed amendments to the SWMLS Bylaws. A "no" vote will disapprove all of the proposed amendments to the SWMLS Bylaws. The proposed changes and rationale are below.
