The Good Neighbor Program annually honors members who exemplify the spirit of community service, committing their time, resources, and energy to better the lives of others.
This month, we spotlight REALTOR® Morgan Cannaday, who has earned the GAAR Good Neighbor Award.
Morgan volunteers for the New Mexico People's Anti-Cruelty Association, a foster-based rescue for local dogs and cats. Her initial involvement started with fostering older dogs who are less likely to be adopted. She then began to foster dogs with severe health issues, pregnant dogs, and dogs with behavioral issues.
Today, she continues to provide a safe, loving environment in which to rehabilitate her foster dogs and then strives to find them a perfect, forever family. Sometimes it can take years of behavioral training and even more time to find the right home. In eight years of volunteering, Morgan has never given up on a dog. And that's why Morgan has earned our admiration as a Good Neighbor.
