If you missed the NM Real Estate Commission Meeting in July, attend a video replay on August 22nd. REALTORS® can earn continuing education credit during each three-year licensing cycle by attending Commission meetings, rule hearings, disciplinary hearings, and meetings of the Education Advisory Committee. All acting Qualifying Brokers* must attend either a NMREC Commission Meeting or a NMREC Disciplinary Hearing once in their 3-year cycle. GAAR will proctor the event and this video replay will fulfill that requirement.

More on the NMREC Requirement
The Commission may convene special meetings upon five (5) days written notice by the Commission President. Although real estate brokers can earn up to four (4) hours of continuing education credit during each three-year licensing cycle by attending Commission meetings, rule hearings, disciplinary hearings, and meetings of the Education Advisory Committee, there is no guarantee that all four (4) hours can be earned in one meeting or hearing. Continuing education hours are granted based on the number of hours that the Commission is in open session and calculated by the brokers’ sign-in and sign-out times on the attendance roster. Hours are entered in the licensing data base and no continuing education certificates are issued.
*Qualifying Broker Attendance License Renewal Requirement
Qualifying Brokers are required to attend a Commission meeting, rule hearing, or disciplinary hearing as a condition of application for and renewal of a qualifying broker’s license, but there is no specific hour requirement to fulfill this obligation.
The New Mexico Real Estate Commission has changed the location of the remainder of its 2018 regular meetings from the Commission office to the GAAR REALTOR® Building.
The remaining 2018 Meetings are:
Monday, September 17 at 9:00 am
Monday, November 19 at 9:00 am
Meeting Agendas
Meeting agendas will be available from the Commission office and posted on the Commission web site no later than 72 hours before a meeting. Commission Disciplinary Hearings Scheduled disciplinary hearings are also posted on the Commission website, but because such hearings are subject to cancellation, brokers are advised to contact the Commission Administrative Secretary, Gie Vivar, at (505) 222-9823 the day before the hearing to confirm that they will proceed as scheduled.
