Myra Herrmann was selected as a GAAR Good Neighbor for her contributions to Cloud Dancers Therapeutic Horsemanship Program which provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to interact with horses through innovative riding and ground programs.
 
Myra began volunteering for Cloud Dancers in 2015 as a side or lead-walker during lessons. This helps the rider groom and tack their horse. She assisted during lessons and soon added a weekly position of feeding and mucking the horses – which required great commitment in the winter!
 
For three years, Myra served on the Board of Directors. Her background in computer programming lent itself to implementing and customizing a new CRM package for the program. Today, she continues to provide technical and computer support, create email marketing campaigns, and maintain the website.

The Good Neighbor Award Program not only recognizes individuals and their charities for their good work but also helps the public understand the positive impact of REALTORS® in our community.

If you know a REALTOR® or Affiliate Member that goes above and beyond to help the community or if you dedicate your free time to a local charity - please submit a nomination for the 2022 GAAR Good Neighbor Awards. Recipients receive a $1,000 grant for their charity and are featured in GAAR's consumer outreach campaign. Grants for the Good Neighbor Program are funded by the REALTOR® Fund. Nominations are now open until Friday, November 4th.
