Last year, REALTOR® Week was everything. We had education classes, Celebrate ABQ Day, multiple guest speakers and it ended with the GAAR Grande Open House Weekend. Whew!

Most of the feedback was that it was just too much at once. So this year, we're pacing ourselves...and our members.

This year, REALTOR® Week is our kick off of our consumer outreach campaign. 

The Consumer Outreach Campaign consists of 2 key components:

1) Highlighting how REALTORS® help build the community. This will be showcased through public relations for each fundraiser we do, by advertising our GAAR Good Neighbors and by featuring the GAAR Good Neighbors on 2 Casa Style Morning Show.

2) Launching the new, state-wide home search site, NewMexicoHomeSearch.com

And all of this is happening this week!

The ads are already out with our next  Good Neighbor recipient Kris Cannaday. At 9am on Friday, April 1st, GAAR President Jon Schnoor will help 2 Casa Style co-hosts introduce Kris and her charity New Mexico Kids Matter. Kris is a CASA for foster home children and will be joined by New Mexico Kids Matter Executive Director Veronica Montaño-Pilch to help get the word out about why volunteering for them is so important to our community. Also on Friday, April 1st, we will be officially launching NewMexicoHomeSearch.com. The state-wide site is designed in partnership with the State of New Mexico Tourism Department and GAAR to provide consumers with a search site that is New Mexico True. As a member of GAAR, there is nothing you need to do to take advantage of this FREE member benefit. Your listings and your office information will automatically populate the website. Unlike other, more commercial sites, we will never try to upsell you nor will we fill the site with advertising. Our goal is simply to make the most powerful, accurate, interesting ,and user-friendly seach site for consumers looking for property in New Mexico. And don't forget to join us on Saturday, April 2nd when we Stuff the Truck for a good cause.  Habitat for Humanity and ReStore will be here in the GAAR REALTOR® Buidling parking lot to help collect gently used household goods and building material. All donations will be sold at ReStore at 4500 Menaul NE. The proceeds will go to build Habitat Homes here in the Greater Albueruqeu Area. Click here to learn more about Stuff the Truck.
