GAAR Staff Member Nathan Brooks recently graduated from the Leadership New Mexico Core Program.

Leadership New Mexico was founded in 1995 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout New Mexico, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing our state. Leadership New Mexico is dedicated to the development of informed leaders who understand issues, define problems, develop solutions and achieve positions of higher responsibility in New Mexico.

Each year, 40-45 leaders selected from various industries around the state come together to participate in a 10-month program. Educational topics include Health and Human Services; Economic Development; Education; Environment and Natural Resources; and Government, Crime and Justice, and Leadership.

Nathan has served the membership of GAAR for the past twelve years and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. He previously held the position of Director of Professional Development and Facility Manager. Nathan holds the prestigious REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation through the National Association of REALTORS®, earned by only six other REALTOR® association executives in New Mexico. Nathan holds two Associate degrees and is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of New Mexico. Nathan grew up in New England and has remained a loyal Patriots fan and football junkie, and boasts a collection of 30,000 baseball cards, first edition books, coins, gems, and minerals.
