What is RPAC?

Throughout the year, GAAR Members host several fundraisers to support the efforts of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), a bipartisan group that advocates at the local, state, and federal levels for home buyers, home sellers, homeowners, and the real estate community.

How does this affect me?

The 2023 Legislative session began with what looked like an all-out assault on property owners with little or no regard for their value in providing housing opportunities in communities across our state. Through the efforts of industry partners including RPAC, we were able to establish a dialogue with legislators and defeat many ill-conceived bills such as rent control which would have exacerbated the current housing crisis and discouraged much-needed development.

Member Support in 2022

Through individual donations and fundraisers - 1,359 GAAR Members contributed a total of $91,980!

How you can be part of this effort
  • During the annual GAAR Member Dues Billing, donate the $15 minimum amount --> if you did not donate during dues billing, it's not too late --> go to your GAAR Member Portal --> look in the right column for RPAC --> click "Contribute additional RPAC"
  • Support RPAC events such as the Kentucky Derby by buying a ticket to attend
  • Become an event sponsor
  • Donate an item to the Silent Auction (Gift Cards, Mother's or Father's Day gifts suggested)
  • Promote the event in your office or to your colleagues by sharing this link
