The 2-day ABR course fulfills part of the education required to earn the designation.

The Accredited Buyer’s Representative® Designation is for real estate buyer agents who focus on working directly with buyer clients at every stage of the home-buying process.

How to Earn the Designation
Education:
  1. Complete the two-day core designation course.
  2. Complete one of the ABR® elective courses below:
  • RENE Certification Course (RENE Course)
  • Understanding & Leveraging Teams (C-RETS Course)
  • Seller Representative Specialist Course (SRS)
  • Military Relocation Professional Certification Core Course (MRP)
  • Pricing Strategies:  Mastering the CMA (PSA Course)
  • Resort & Second-Home Markets Course (RSPS)
  • Seniors Real Estate Specialist Core Course (SRES)
  • At Home with Diversity Course

Exam:

There is no exam requirement for the ABR Course.

Professional Affiliation:
  • Membership in good standing in REBAC
  • Membership in good standing in the National Association of REALTORS®. Exception: International members of REBAC do not have to be members of NAR.
Work Experience:

Documentation of five completed transactions in which you acted solely as a buyer representative.

Application:

Submit the designation application along with documentation of five completed transactions.

Cost:
  • REBAC Dues
    • First year of REBAC membership is free
    • Second year is $110, but prorated based on the month you joined REBAC
    • $110 per year thereafter
