REALTORS® know the importance of adapting and remaining relevant in today's
marketplace. By developing a business practice rooted in inclusion and equality,
REALTORS® can help buyers of all cultural backgrounds achieve the dream of
homeownership. The At Home With Diversity® (AHWD) certification covers
how to work effectively with diverse populations so you can build business success
in today's multicultural real estate market.
What you gain:
- Knowledge of the subtleties of U.S. fair housing laws
- Business etiquette for specific cultures
- An edge in expanding your business to include international clientele
- Credit towards the ABR®, CIPS, and PMN designations
Exam: There is no exam requirement for the AHWD Course.
Professional Affiliation: Member in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS®
Application: Pay the one-time application fee of $75
Once you've earned the AHWD certification, you will also be an International REALTOR® Member of NAR for the balance of that calendar year.
Maintaining your NAR International REALTOR® membership with one yearly fee of USD $75 will keep all of your NAR designations and certifications active.
About your Instructor:
Ginni Field is a former state director of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® and former president of the Greater Fairfield Association of REALTORS® and was elected as President of the North San Diego County Association of REALTORS® in 2004 and served as a Director for the California Association of REALTORS®. Ginni holds several designations including being a Graduate of REALTOR® Institute (GRI), an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Short Sales & Foreclosure Certification (SFR),and HAFA Certification.
