A day of virtual classes with proceeds benefiting the Real Estate Community Political Action Committee (RECPAC). RECPAC is comprised of GAAR and CARNM Trustees who educate City and County officials on local issues that affect home buyers, sellers, and the real estate industry.

1. Go to your GAAR Member Portal. Look for Upcoming Courses, and click All. On the calendar, click December 14th. Pay the all-inclusive fee.
2. Call Membership to select which classes you will attend: 505-842-1433, option 3 or 5.
3. Mention if you are with CARNM to receive special pricing.
Non-GAAR Member $110

Intro to Solar (4 CE - Core Elective)
Instructor: Jim DesJardins
Learn:
- The different types of solar systems and how they function.<
- Understand the value of a solar system based on size and type of installation.
- Review the different types of financial incentives that are available for solar systems.
- Discuss what makes a quality solar installation.
- Discuss different ways to finance solar systems including leasing and Power Purchase Agreements.
- Review the Distributive Generation Consumer Protection Act recently passed by the state legislature.
- Review how the installation of a solar system affects the value of a home or commercial building.
- Demonstrate tools to determine the value of an existing solar system on a home or business.
- Discuss how a solar system affects the appraisal of a property.
Business Ethics in Real Estate (4 CE - Code of Ethics)
Instructor: Michael Glass
Objectives of the program:
- Examine ethics, morals and integrity.
- How do our ethics affect our business decisions?
- What keeps US on track?
- How do ethics of others affect us?
- What keeps THEM on track?
- What can we do to elevate our standards? As an individual? As a group?
This course meets the NAR Code of Ethics 3-year requirement (Jan. 1, 2022-Dec. 31, 2024).
Rules and Regulations of the NMREC (4 CE - Core Elective)

What are the laws and rules that govern and guide how you practice your real estate business? Where can you find them? Have you ever called the NM Real Estate Commission to ask a question about real estate license law or Commission rules because you didn't know how to find the information in the published book. How do you easily locate the information you need to understand when you need it? This 4 CE (Education Category) program was developed to help you navigate and understand the information that is so critical to your business success.
2023 NMREC Core Course (4 CE – Core Course)
Instructor: Kellie Tinnin
The 2023 Core Course includes an in-depth discussion of Transaction Brokerage vs. Agency representation in a real estate transaction, interesting “Broker B” case studies from the New Mexico Real Estate Commission, Brokers role in proper disclosure of Homeowners Associations, and interesting “Hot Topics” in New Mexico Real Estate.
