Highlights:
- the median detached price rose 1.6 percent to $190,00
- the average detached price rose 1.6 percent to $226,422
- the number of new listings increased 4.2 percent for single-family detached homes and 18.9 percent for condos, townhomes and other attached homes
- overall inventory of detached home for sale dropped 16.0 percent in August
- detached homes sold in an average of 51 days – which is 8.9 percent faster than in August 2015
- the 1,071 homes sold in August 2016 - a 9.1 percent increase compared to 2015
- pending sales increased 24.2 percent for detached homes
