Albuquerque, NM, May 10, 2011 –There were 567 closed sales during the month of April, three fewer when compared to March, according to the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS®.
"April was the second highest month for closed sales since June 2010," said Peter Parnegg, President of the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS®. "There was a decline in home sales when compared to April 2010, but last April was the final month to qualify for the $8,000 homebuyer tax credit, and homebuyers were rushing to meet the deadline."
There were 903 pending sales during the month of April, exactly the same amount of pending sales were reported in March. "Consumers realize these low interest rates will not last forever and it’s definitely enticing for potential homebuyers," Parnegg said.
